Youth Mentorship Service
The Youth Mentorship Service is derived from a partnership with the Ministry of Social Services (MSS). Our mentors/outreach workers are trained adults who are partnered one on one or in small groups with youth between the ages of 5-19. They will be participating in activities that enhance self-esteem, self-regulation, and social skills all while helping to make a connection to positive supports and activities within the Battlefords community.

Every youth has the right to have a positive and supportive influence in their life that has the ability to help build their future. Our hope is all youth who receive mentoring from CFY will learn the life skills necessary to have the abilities to access resources and supports they need in their life to succeed.

Staff work Monday-Friday 1:00pm-9:00pm and are available to assist with the following:

  • home/school visits
  • positive role models for youth
  • transportation assistance
  • connect/build relationships with youth and their families
